Service Description

When assessing existing houses for issues like poor airflow, leakage, missing insulation or temperature stratification, a full audit of the building is required. This initial audit will determine the required work to be done to bring the house to current performance standards, or address glaring issues. For new houses the OBC provides prescriptive pathways listing specifications that must be achieved for building permits. Most pathways require components which may not be ideal for every homeowner such as drain-water heat recovery or a HRV/ERV heat exchanger. Performance modelling can be completed to ease some of these constraints and gain building permit approval in Ontario. Optionally, high-performance modelling of new or existing housing is offered using detailed hourly dynamic energy analysis software.
